Volkswagen's Vento challenged the supremacy of market leader Honda City. Media reports are now suggesting that Volkswagen-owned Skoda is all set come up with a sedan based on Vento's platform.



According to media reports Skoda is likely to name the new car Rapid and a Diwali launch is on the cards this year.

However, the Rapid will not have all the features present in the Vento and might retail at a price below the Vento.
