Default Rear bumper question 2014 fabia 5j wagon

Our Fabia got rear ended late last year and as result the hatch, rear bumper inner and bumper cover were replaced.

I'm currently arguing with the insurer about the quality of repairs.

So could a Fabia 5J (preferably wagon) owner go to the rear of their car and press the bumper with their knee and tell me if outer bumper moves inward about 25 mm or so ?

I've been told this is normal. However it seems suus to me to me. I'm of the opinion and impact absorber piece is missing.

If anyone can post the 5J wagon back bumper parts manual page it would be much appreciated.

Knowledge is power when arguing with insurance assessors.

    cheers

Gee 24 views and nobody has an answer yet.

Perhaps this could explain why the Forum stands still.

And yes, I've found out, but I won't bother telling anyone.

No mate! Not ambivalence at all, the fact is that the Fabia & in particular the Fabia Wagon is a small proportion of the forum.
I have a Fabia but it isn't a wagon, therefore I can't give you an informed answer!
Sorry, if I can't give you a reasonable response then it is of little value to you!
To sort out your problem then the right person needs to help you out!
Give it a little more time & i'm sure someone will give you some useful advice!

I hear what you say John, but the semantics of the question was "preferably". Hatch and wagon are sufficiently similar.

I actually got my answer from the next door neighbor's Octy Wagon.

And yes, the rear outer bumpers have considerable flex. This is no impact absorber over the steel inner bar.

    No worries mate!
If I lean against my rear bumper, there is a lot of flex, again my concern in responding is that it is a 2012 model!
Glad you were able to get an idea of what is right or normal to some extent!
    Cheers
