No Service Books

Skoda Australia are no longer providing service books. I am sure that many of you are aware of this, and it may seem to be a trivial thing. However if I had known this before I bought my Octavia Wagon in December 2000, I would have looked elsewhere.
I have spoken to Skoda Australia on several occasions and they have just ignored my protests.
I don't have a service agent within 200km so I want to use a service provider in my town.
I get the car serviced every 10,000 not 15000 but the last place I had it done don't sell Skoda's anymore.
They are 100 km from home, they took all day to do the first service and charged me $55 for the use of a "courtesy car." On the way home the car alerted me that the tyre pressures were uneven, so I had to stop on the side of the road to check them.
I am considering complaining to the ACCC. Anyone else ****ty about this.

Looks like a sign of things to come/already here with some cars.

My Kodia MT22 has physical log books, so I'm not sure why some have, and some don't.

Was the car new when you purchased it? And are you correct in saying it was 2000?

My new 2023.5 Kamiq has NO service book, no safety triangle and no first aid (human) kit. At least it has a full size spare wheel!

When I quized the dealer I was told they are not required in Australia and ALL service records are maintained by Skoda.

I suppose all we can ask for now is for them to print out the service record and we keep the physical copy ourselves.
